Hello,

I can only see two wires.
The bottom chamber seems to be empty.

Is there a picture from the other side ?

With only two connections it can be used as a choke.

Greetings,
Bertus

Hello,

If you want to know more on transformers take a look at this page of the EDUCIPEDIA.

That type of transformer is specially sold in that format in a variety of VA ratings to allow you to wind your own windings onto it. The mains winding is prewound for convenience & to meet electrical safety requirements.

Brian.
