overload circuit

hi there,can any body help with an overload circuit.am designing a square wave inverter and i want to add an overload circuit so i can be able to detect when the system is overloaded.

Hello,

You could try to measure the current in the power transistors.
That should give an idea about the power used.

Or you can just add a circuit breaker or fuse to open the circuit on overload.

So...what's your circuit?

The circuit topology is important in determining the best short circuit protection scheme.
