RC servo control signal switch

I need to switch a single RC servo signal to one of 8 RC servos. (not decode an 8 channel RC signal). I would like to select the servos sequentially using a momentary switch. I have considered driving the selection with the output of a 4017 counter and switching the signal through an array of transistors or a logic gates. Any ideas appreciated.
