I have question for z-transform.
any one please help out.the question is:-
Explain the importance z-transform in digital signal processing.Give a summary of its properties.

If anyone has any details about this please help.

Do you understand the importance of Laplace transform in relation to the Fourier Transform? Can I hear your explanation?

Do you understand the difference between a continuous and discrete signal?

If you don't know what it is or what it does, then you probably don't need to know about it. Do you have a text book that covers that subject?

It's basically the laplace transform in discrete time. I have nice memories of it in last semester's DSP course :(

Exactly. And its properties are also listed there. It's just that the fourier transform doesn't exist for certain values.

And Ratch, come on. Text books often speak in a language that someone new to the subject doesn't understand all too well. There's nothing wrong with asking for help...
