hi, i have a circuit that has a x2444p 8pin dip installed.
i am trying to find a good eeprom programmer that will read and write the chip.

i have a small serial eprom programmer (chineese red circuit board) style
it dosne't read it. and it came with no instructions.

do need to hook up like a 5vdc powersupply before it reads?

do you have a recommendation on a programmer?

i have ponyprog installed, but no real instructions on what im trying.
thanks

Hello,

I think you do not need a programmer.
It can be connected to a microcontroller like an AVR or PIC.
In the datasheet is given how to program it.
There are several timing diagrams.
