I have two transmitters that send a wireless (radio) signal to their receivers. A red LED lights up on the receivers when they get a signal. The LEDs get 1.8v when a signal is received. The idea is to make some sort of AND gate and power up a relay when both receivers get a signal from their transmitters.

I soldered a wire on the LED's + and - terminal on the circuit boards and connected the wires of the two receivers in series (with diodes in between). In this way I get about 3v which is just enough to switch the relay coil.

So it works.. but my knowledge of electronics is only minor. My question: do you see any problems with this set up in the long term?
