wire-to-wire options for wire-to-board connectors

I'm looking to add length to a cable that is terminated with a Molex wire-to-board connector and there doesn't appear to be an easy way to do this. These connectors are designed to mate only with connectors that are board mounted (pcb or thru-hole). The only solution I can come up with is a breakout board which is expensive and not an option in this situation. Does anyone have suggestions or advice? Keep in mind that this has to be a clean solution. No soldering wires together or alligator clips:)

I've extended a lot of cables by soldering in a few inches of wire and covering the splices with shrink tubing, but if soldering is not allowed, you are going to make an "extension cord" with a connector on each end. Good thing you know they are Molex brand connectors. They are available and you can buy them.

A "professional" solution would be to just make an "extension" cable using the same molex connectors.. female on one end/male on the other.
Many times they have wire-wire available for the same series..

Now list the molex series/exact part numbers so we can help more.
