AM I just retarded or I've just fried my brain on this thing? why won't my displays at least come on with just DC Power...I don't have an AC Frequency hooke dup just yet, but shouldn't they still come on?

 

We know even less than you. Can you post up the schematic and the part number of the displays?

 

I guess you forgot to connect the common cathode or common anode pin to ground or V+ respectively but a schematic will be helpful. Another reason is that you may use higher values of series resistors for each led segment than needed.

 

If they are LCD 7-segment displays, they won't work without the AC excitation.
