Arduino uno Mppt( Perturb and observe) code algorithm

I'm not familiar with the code language but, for debug purposes, can you add lines to print to a log or anywhere? It's so much easier when you can find out what the variables are set to and which lines are or are not executing.

 

I don't see anything which changes Pinput nor Vinput, so you'll just set "pwm=pwm" every time. Where should these values come from?

 

This seems like a cross between C and Arduino C,
