i have to create a h-bridge motor driver by using mosfets. the max current for the motor is 2.7A and i am driving the mosfet with a 80V dc from generator.

A 500v MOSFET for an 80v application? That's going to waste a good bit of power. Besides, that MOSFET is only rated for Id=2.5A; you really should double (or more) Id requirements.

Hey Sgt. not to disagree with you or any thing OK.
Your mosfet is a SMD device and we donno if the OP can do it.
Mine is a standard TO220 package, which are small but easy to handle.
I think he can experiment with more easily.

I doubt you'll find one suitable in an SOT package, as it's pretty small.
