Where do you buy your capacitors? I am looking for a 0.47uf 200V (AC) capacitor and I can't find one. I've looked at Digi-key, Mouser, Allied, Radio Shack. NO one has one. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Any non-polar capacitor can handle AC. Try a Digi part #495-2453 @ $1.06. That is a polyester film capacitor that is rated for 400 volts to give some overhead for safety.

After my wife throws a capacitor at me, it's polar if it's traveling north/south and non-polar otherwise. :)

Seriously, polar capacitors are those that have terminals marked with the polarity of voltage that should be applied to them -- due to their construction, they work with only one polarity. Electrolytic capacitors are the typical example.

Non-polar capacitors are made with a dielectric that can be biased either way.
