I blew another fuse type bulb on a cheap continuity tester.
It's a GE, 1.5v.

I've searched Google and Ebay, and I can find 8v, but no 1.5v.

Any input is appreciated.

Do you have a model number. It should be stamped into the steel base of the bulb. A photo would be great.

 

Here is a picture of an 8 volt version.
The one I shorted out has no markings on it, but it looks just like this.
It runs (ran) off of a single 1.5 volt AAA battery.

I have some of the 8 volt types, and they do work, but the bulb output is very dim.

I can't seem to find a supplier of these with the lower voltage.

Any ideas where I could find them?

I've seen those bulbs in an old stereo receiver but never a 1.5 volt version. I have only seen 8 volt and 12 volt.

It must be Chinese, no markings.
