Which is better to place a solar panel faceing east as the sun rise OR place solar panel faceing west as sun sets in the evening.
Thank for the help mrel

If S is not an option, I would go for E as the panels will be cooler in the morning & more efficient. My panels face 190 degrees from true N @ an angle of 20 deg-fixed. Latitude 33 deg N.

South! But only if you want to capture the most sun exposure. If you want to keep it cool keep it in the refridg. Max sun exposure out weighs a bit lower performance due to higher temperature.

Just curious (I'm doing some modeling of panel placement) - How did you arrive at the 20° position, given your latitude? Wouldn't the ideal angle be 33°, ie. to catch direct sun at high noon?

Oops, should have read the link provided above - a good reference on the topic.
