what's the effect of the RL in the circuit, and how to connect a LED?

Hi,
The OMRON relay G3VM got the diagram of:

what's the function of the RL? how to connect a LED there? from Vout to GND?

RL stands for Resistor, Load. The relay is switching an external load of some unknown type. RL is a standin for whatever that load is, showing where to connect it.

What type of LED, and what do you want it to indicate. Also, what is the actual load. Also, what is the value of Vdd?
