What are the criteria needed to choose the thryristor suppose

convert a 220V AC to 220V DC. what are the criteria to select a thryistor.

any recommendation?

 

could you please give more info like what's your load, power/current need so we can specifically give our sugggestion?

there are scr's in TO92 package that can handle your 220 voltage/800ma current (BT169G), likewise there's a TO225 package that can handle 2.5A (C106M1), there's also a TO220 package that can handle 4A (BT150-500R)
