Of course it is,as anyone with more than 5 minutes experience knows.
I did not suggest that a proper probe would allow him to do what he did.----other posters had pointed out that the earth lead would connect whatever point it was clipped on to earth,so I perhaps unwisely believed that he understood that would still be the case.
What I was pointing out,(& actually said)was that even with transformer isolation,the cruddy "probe" he used would not be a safe proposition.
