Hi.
I'd like to spend about $100 on a multi-meter. I want the usual features, plus autoranging, capacitance and frequency.

What do you think about teh 22-816 sold by Radio Shack?

Please advise!

thanks.

It's a good starting meter and it's not something Ratshack grabbed from a chicom importer. Since you have someone other than ratshack to go yell at that's a plus. :)

If I were wanting *any* meter for serious daily use I'd want the 1000V one rather than the 600V one if I had no other choice in meters. For hobby use that will be fine unless you're going to be working with voltages higher than 400. Yes 400. More than that and you want the 1000V one or better.
