  1. What degree and work experience do you have?
  2. What types of jobs are you interested in?
  3. Do you have references from any teachers or colleagues?
  4. Do you know anyone working at a company where you'd like to work?

I do not know if there are any good answers to your questions. I have some experience working abroad due to a relationship between the company I worked for and an Italian company. I don't know much about the financial arrangements between the two companies, but my observation was that my company paid me my US salary in US dollars deposited in my US bank account. My living expenses and meals were covered by the host company in Italy in lira. This was before the adoption of the Euro. The Italian company provided a vehicle from their motor pool and allowed us to fill the gas tank at their facility, when gas was 400 lira/liter (ca. 1976). In my estimation this involved significant costs to both companies and I'm sure each company thought it was a good deal.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how you can make such a connection on your own without getting a local company and a foreign partner involved. It is true that my motivation and imagination may be limited in this regard, because at the time I was not really very fond of the idea of spending half a year in Italy. It did work out well once I got there and was able to appreciate the benefits.

I wish you luck in your search, and I can only offer encouragement to keep trying. I do think that you should refine your "anywhere in the globe" aspiration, because there are many places in the world where you can be abused and taken advantage of by unscrupulous people.

Work on your networking. All of the jobs I was offered were due to someone I knew. Either an instructor who gave me a referral and set up an interview, a colleague who knew someone with a job opening, someone I knew, or knew of me, who made a position for me, etc.

Your desire to work anywhere is worthy of respect. But each of us is sure to have a country that meets our needs in every way.
For example, you wouldn't want to live in a country that is too cold if you don't like the cold. Or you don't want to stay long in a country that doesn't have a quick citizenship program. There can be many reasons. I'm not an American, but I came to the U.S. to work as an HVAC engineer. I know that people often need the services of professionals like me. I studied this specialty after reading the <Mod Link deleted>. I got my education and work permit certificate when I passed all the tests online and offline. That's how I found my occupation. You can read all sorts of articles about different professions too.

From your line #4 in your first post, it sounds like getting out of Ethiopia is your biggest goal.

First, look up which countries tend to accept people from your country.
https://www.pilotguides.com/study-guides/the-ethiopian-diaspora/

Once you have that list, you'll have to dig deeper to see if the immigrants were accepted recently (good) or at some time in history (less good for you).

After that, look at the websites of each country's policies and practices on immigration from Ethiopia.

Then you need to reach out to people who you may have a connection on linked in. Join linked-in communities (chemical manufacturing, automation, engineering, chemical engineering, ...). You'll soon get feeds from postings by engineers with these expertises. If one is from a target country, ask to connect or follow them so you can see their future posts. Start building your network.

In Canada, many employers will want you to have p. eng - https://www.peo.on.ca/licence-applications/become-professional-engineer

Or other certifications.

Some people get a foot in the door by coming here to do a masters and then can transition to employment easier that way. Still hard though.

Another is if you manage to find a multinational company in your country and that becomes your network to move within. I know many people who worked in South America and now work in either US or Canada

Fortunately I get someone who is European and works in engineering area. I have been persistantly contacted him, showed him my works (SolidWorks not automation in this case), he liked them and offered me a very small online temporary SolidWorks job. I liked that though the money expected from that job is very small, I believed it is a chance to show my skill and build connection. I did the job and sent him the result he told me that they look good and he liked them even though he didnt have time and review the result in depth. He also promised me that if I am good on his assignment he will give me another online jobs. And I liked it. It would be very good connection for me. He may also find a job for the automation too. Beside this story, I have also get another (the second of mine) contract for building concrete batching plant automation. This also make me very happy. So in general things seems good (regarding the jobs) but there is one potential problem unless the war ends in my country soon.

Because of the on-going war in your country, you may be able to get a Refugee status visa or an Asylum Status Visa from some European Union countries. There are, surprisingly, labor shortages in some specific markets. Look to Automotive - automation companies supporting automotive assembly and plastic injection molding companies.

I will try it. It would be better if you could tell me specific procedure to do that if you know.
