    Solar powered Coleman gas lamp.
Backup for when you run out of gas.

A solar powered lamp, what a great invention:p But Mr. Chippy is correct that the ting that is not a lamp. May be some sort of solar panel.

That Coleman lantern is run by the propane cylinder. You can see the mantles.
Why they have a solar panel above it....maybe some kind of prank.

Unless, they have some LEDs mounted inside next to the mantles.

You can see a wire with a connector hanging from the bottom of the solar panel, so it's not connected to anything.

I know about that heat very well.;)

I was thinking they may have used a solar panel to power LEDs inside the lantern....when it was not being fired by propane.

I still have several of the older Colemans powered by white gas. I only have two that use propane.

Probably the best fishing/survival lanterns ever created.

That could work if you also had LED lamp to light up the solar panel. Powered from the solar panel of course:rolleyes:

Maybe the lamp is actually a hydrogen powered one instead of propane. And the solar panel is powering a HHO generator to keep it burning?
