That Coleman lantern is run by the propane cylinder. You can see the mantles.
Why they have a solar panel above it....maybe some kind of prank. :confused:


Unless, they have some LEDs mounted inside next to the mantles.

Those lamp tend to be very hot. So hot that no LED will survive

I know about that heat very well.;)

I was thinking they may have used a solar panel to power LEDs inside the lantern....when it was not being fired by propane.

I still have several of the older Colemans powered by white gas. I only have two that use propane.

Probably the best fishing/survival lanterns ever created.:cool:

Maybe the lamp is actually a hydrogen powered one instead of propane. And the solar panel is powering a HHO generator to keep it burning?
