I think I may have found her working for Motorola in Chicago, eventually I'll write but I've got too many girlfriends around here knocking on the door for an almost 55 year old man (that still looks under 40) to put up with. I pretty much settled for one but we're still a ways away from getting seriously into a relationship. She's extremely smart and also an extremely devout Democrat (and I'm a semi bi-partisan that leans towards the Republicans) so I've got to step very lightly. The big plusses are that she's a self employed professional, has a very expensive and unusual house and doesn't live but a 15 minute drive away. She likes to watch pretty much the same kind of movies I do and also enjoys to play games, although the last time we played gin rummy I beat her 500 to 0. Guess the next time I better let her win a few but it was probably only beginners luck on those deals between us.

Back to India I've had several private physicians from there, most women, but always had trouble understanding most of them. My primary care physician of many years now is from Scotland and of all the ones I see at the OU Med Center only one is from India but at least I can understand him most of the time.

I used to have a great Doctor, just out of 35 years in the Army and set up private practice up in Edmond. It wasn't a year until he sent out totally hand written letters to all his patients that he was going to just flat retire and went on to explain how the insurance companies were trying to tell him how to run his business and what to prescribe.

I've been very happy with my current regular Doctor for ages, temporarily lost him after he started practicing at one place then went on to create his own clinic. I can usually get in the same day because he realizes that people in need don't want to wait so he only keeps a small amount of patients on his rolls. Being from Scotland he's also very into doing some of his own lab work on premise as well and will take whatever time is necessary to address any and all the needs you may have to complain about. Best thing is we see eye to eye on prescription medicine, he knows I'm highly educated in that and he also knows that some of the old, far less expensive stuff is often just as good if not better than what the pharmaceutical companies are trying to push out as new just so they can make more money as opposed to a common generic. He even keeps a small drug store operation inside for the most commonly prescribed stuff and can sell them to you for less than what you'd have to pay if you went down the street and used your insurance - saves you the trip and hassles.

It's next to impossible to find a Doctor like this anymore, one that puts the patient's well being far ahead of any profits. From what I understand even if you don't have insurance he doesn't charge much at all for an office visit.

Part of that may come from all of his degrees. He went to USC & Notre Dame for business college up to a Master's degree, was in business for 10 years before he finally went on to go through full Med School. He is, BTW, married to a woman from India.

I can't say I know a doctor that puts medicine ahead of money, but I have one that understands me. That is incredibly important and very hard to accomplish. After many years with my whole family going to this one doctor, he knows which ones are too literal and which ones are emotion based. Best of all, he hires me to fix his otoscope and microscope lights, diathermy machines, muscle stim machines, air conditioners, cars, and stuff like that.

They exist and still make plenty considering what they bill the insurance companies for.

He probably gets another $200 from my insurance in addition to my $30 co-pay but if you walk in off the street with no insurance I think he only charges between $60 - $80. We've got plenty of free places around here too but it would be next to impossible to get an appointment, much less waiting for hours before you got in.

Brings up the old joke of wearing a shirt with "US Immigration Services" on your arms, supposedly cleans the waiting room right out. :)

That's another thing that bugs me, if someplace wants me there at 9 AM I expect them to be ready for me instead of having to read 5 year old magazines for an hour, nor do I like being stuck in a room for an hour talking to the occasional assistant, then an RN, then waiting for the actual Dr. to finally show up. I've got one like that at the OU Med Center but it's somewhat understandable as he has to make all his rounds at the hospital end of things before he comes into his main office.

He's one of the specialists I have to see. I've spent most of this year fighting cancer and am now free of it but it was no piece of cake. I still have to have regular checkups for a while and then on a semi-annual basis for the rest of my life but as an ENT he's considered to be one of the best in the nation. Some people have gone to those specialty centers and when they found out they were originally a patient of this particular Dr. they usually tell them to get their tail back up here.

The tons of weekly chemo was no big deal but it left my blood cell counts down really low and they have yet to recover after all these months, the radiation treatments were the worst part of it. It started in my nasopharynx then spread to a lymph node in my neck and a spot in my left lung.

They took care of the lung part in short order but I had to have all my teeth pulled then wait almost two months for my gums to heal up before they could even begin radiation on the throat area. 2 MEV from 13 angles on a daily basis for a month literally turns your neck black. You lose your sense of taste and a lot of your ability to swallow. Some of that is coming back but it'll be at least another year before I'm close to normal again.

Close to 8 million people graduate every year in India. And they speak impeccable English. I don't think he will find any difficulty in getting one for him. If he tries a little harder maths and electronics will be a bonus after all 300,000 women graduate in science every year in India.
What nonsense is this going here, i ask for electronics help not this.

Thank's for your unusual post.

Bell Canada uses people in India for their Technical Support. Their English is horrible and nobody in Canada can understand what they say.

I get many telephone calls from Indian people trying to sell something and their English is horrible.

Ritesh, your English is not good and you know nothing about the basics of electronics. We talk about electronic circuits on these forums, we do not teach English and basic electronics to little kids.

If I am not impertinent just want to let you know that India has won 4 Booker prize and Canada 3. Times of India( an English daily) in India has 7 million circulation. I don’t think Indra Nooyi chairperson of Pepsico in USA communicates in her mother tongue Tamil( 5000 year old Indian language) . Nor did Bose-Einstein formulate their theory without communication.

Nothing will diminish my respect for Indian culture. I share the views of the vast majority of people who have responded on that matter here.

However, this thread began with:
I want to know what is IGBT..........?
That question was answered long ago. The thread has since taken more twists and turns than the Missouri River as it goes through the Ozarks. The OP then took it upon himself to chide everyone for following one of those turns.

If he wants to talk about electronics, he should ask a question about electronics. See Post#70, which has yet to be addressed:

I thought your question had been fully and succinctly answered several posts back. Please excuse the slight digression.

Now, what is your question again?

Gosh, you're so diplomatic. Having spoken to Verizon customer service lately, I waited for somebody else to respond, lest I make an ass of myself.

Labor is extremely inexpensive and easy to come by over there, that's why so many call centers originate from India. If you call Dell support for a home computer problem guess where your call goes? If you call on a professional Dell product it comes here then you've got to deal with our Okie accents which can be every bit as bad.

I own one Dell PC from ages ago and would never buy another, not due to the support but due to what I saw inside as one time I took the cover off to see if I could add any more memory. 2 GHz Celeron so it really wasn't that old when I bought it (2003?) but it was just easier at the time since it was a Christmas gift for a girl I lived with at the time and couldn't exactly order in all the parts and build one for her or it would run the surprise.

Hi,

I carefully follow this post and if there's one bad thing you cant say of KAKKAR, then it's that he allays draw the most attention by far.
Just look at the first page. Usually there's never less than at least a thousand viewers. He always get at least 2000 viewers and 5 stars.

So, this tells me only one thing, and that is that you cant stay away when he's posting a thread.

Ha, you all love this guy but you just to proud to admit it.

I try to help as many of you probably forget when you were first starting out. Sometimes I'll try to answer a question with a valid response or sometimes I'll just post a link he could have found on his own. I really don't care if he's 4 years old and just starting to type, or 80 and just wants to learn as age is not a question here, his willingness to learn is.

Don't know his Religion but I'm sure that even in the Quran there is a passage similar to John 8:7

When they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

I realize it's considered very OT to bring Religion into a forum. Rritesh has advanced quite a bit over the past months thanks to our and I'm sure other's help. It's quite possible that if he will get in touch with me personally and is of age I might be able to get someone to help him get into a University over here where there are plenty of others that will speak his native language although he's going to have to get his english down better to understand the community and professors.

We have an excellent engineering college at OU but OSU is even better, it's also possible that a friend of mine may be able to provide him with temporary housing until he gets settled down but there will be a work penalty involved. My friend is always working on something aside from his normal job of taking care of some of the professional CAD architects around town and producing some circuitry, but also restores oddball stuff like old bulldozers and recently built his own brand new airplane from a kit which he has invited me to go up in next week. He's got his license, I only got close but I've known how to fly for ages although only high wing Cessna's which are almost gliders and this is quite the different craft. He's already put 100 hours on it since completion and gone on some multi-stop long range trips so I suppose it's rock solid - not that I'd ever doubt his workmanship on anything.

You calling Indians liars is in a bad taste. I don’t know which Asian Country you belong and what circumstance that you are in but these Indians whom i have mentioned above haven’t lied much and

These Indian medical doctors M. Atal, M. Cholkar, D. Kotnis, B.K. Basu and D. Mukerji who served in Chinese war fronts while it was attacked during second world war didn’t lie as you deem I suppose! Mind you Independent India was not taking part in second world war.

Be less cynical if you could will be good for you!

Sir Ji hat's of to you:p
