Input : AC 220V / 60HZWhat's the purpose of this circuit? And are you actually going to build it? There are significant safety considerations that should be discussed before you attempt to do so. Also, what is the part just to the left of the bridge rectifier -- I don't recognize your symbol or notations.
I thought it was probably a thermistor, but the 5D7 looked like a 5 followed by a symbol that looked like a plug and cord.Input : AC 220V / 60HZ
Fuse 250V/1A, Varistar 10D471, Thermister 5D7 on left of the bridge rectifier.
this power line circuit is just part of smps.
R1 is shorted by a 1mH coil that will take most of the current.312 V is going to destroy those 1K resistors unless they are rated at 25W or better
The current in the inductor shorted by R1 will take all the load until the current can build in the coil. R2 takes it all.R1 is shorted by a 1mH coil that will take most of the current.
R2 is probably just a place holder to represent a load.
But what is the time constant at which that happens? The current in the inductor shorted by R1 will take all the load until the current can build in the coil. R2 takes it all.
Admittedly short -- 'bout a microsecond. But what is the time constant at which that happens?
I just trying to understand the circuit. I just want to know about damping resistor, R1.I thought it was probably a thermistor, but the 5D7 looked like a 5 followed by a symbol that looked like a plug and cord.
Are you just trying to understand this circuit, or are you going to actually build it (or play around with one that's already built)?
Where did those particular component values from from?
