I'm a small portable DC pump that runs up to 12v. I can suck in water and pressurize it into a filter so it pumps slowly thru the filter material which is tightly packed. What kind of water pump am I?

Custom water pump from alibaba or china?
Waterpick pump canabalized?
Powerhead for fishtank? or Filter?


Would there be any that would work mechanically where you could build the pressure then cut it of with a non reverse flow tube and keep the motor from running?

 

Am I an espresso machine pump?

I made one from a 12v self-priming pump (HFT), a pressure switch (SquareD) and a backflow preventer (Home Deopt) and various fittings, etc. It is the basis for my sailboat cool mist system.

 

Are you a pump connected to an accumulator tank, through a check valve, with a pressure switch on the tank?
