Hi
i'm building RC boat,
i want to put in more powerfull motor in it. (now i have 27turns, brushded motor) with 24W max power.
But i have 18V (tested in drill) 14.4V (nominal from factory) motor from drill.
It is much more powerfull ~200W.
I use 6cell NiMh (4200mAh) battery pack. This is low voltage for my motor
Anw - RC boat goes faster this such setup I think becouse of - motor keeps constant RPM under load.
If voltage would be higher - i could get even more speed
Is there any voltage booster (7.2->14.4V) wich could handle high currents ~10A atleast in output?
My battery and electronic speed controller (ESC) can handle high currents (battery ~30-50A, ESC - 20A continuous, 75A peak current)
ESC gives PWM output to motor - >10kHz, so i think best place for voltage booster would be between ESC and motor.
Thanks,
Eimantas
