In the BASIC CONCEPTS OF ELECTRICITY (DC) at the step named Voltage and Current, it says ..."if a conductive wire is placed between the charged wax and wool, electrons will flow through it"...

Why? if wax and wool are non conductive materials.

I would appreciate any comments about.

because the wire is conductive
and the wool and wax act as source and sink for electrons.
