can anyone please tell me how to run a cmd code in vb by hidding the dos console ??
Actually i want to delete a file using cmd whenever a command button is pressed in vb.. The filename should be specified in the text box..
but the problem is that the cmd console pops up always whenever i tries to delete a file.. is there any way to run this in hidden mode ??

Do you have a specific reason for using cmd? Why not just delete it straight from VB - see

Since you didn't provide any details such as the OS, version of VB, and the command you are using to run the DOC box it's pretty hard to suggest a solution beyond asking Google how to "shell hidden dos box" and picking the solution that fits your usage.
