I am completely new to Matlab, so I am working through the Tutorial exercises in the User's manual; however, I have a number of very basic questions. First, re: the "ones" function. I am using a donated m-file for imaging analysis (cortical activation) and I am very confused what purpose the "ones" function has, generally. I know what the manual says about the function, but please give me a practical example of how and why it would be used. (It does not have to be specific to neuroscience, although that would be very, very cool.)
