Hello guys, i want to uninstall a certain software from a modem and install another, such that when i plug in my modem, it installs the new software and not the old one.

What Operating System do you have? What Version? What is the Modem's Make and model? ...etc.

Why can't you just plug in the new modem?

 

Your modem doesn't contain software. It contains 'Firmware', which at this date and time would most probably be flashed into a chip.

Ah, there in lies the problem. The term Modem has morphed into just about anything that connects people to the Internet, tel line, satellite, blue tooth, etc. Wrong? Oh yeah.

 

IF this "modem" is a router or something with an admin section that you log in to you typically have one button that will perform a firmware update..
