I'm trying to build a two switch forward convertor as shown below, My input voltage as tested was a 30v Lab power supply ( 2A) I'm implementing PWM using the output compare function of a DSPic30f4011 this is working perfectly, wit a duty ratio of 0.45 I was getting 5V across my load.
My intended output is to charge a 12v battery so roughly 13.7V.
The upper Fet got quite hot, my Fet drivers are Microchip TC1410. After reading on here I have learned about the difference between low and high side drivers. Could anyone suggest a suitable one?
Edit: I understand the reason the Fet is getting hot is that it is not turning on fully.
I'm more of a programmer!
