When do we need cascaded amplifier? Please give me some example applications where the need of high input impedance is of prime importance.

 

A guitar pickup works best when its preamp has an input impedance of at least 1M ohms.
A ph sensor needs a preamp with an extremely high input impedance.

I would use an opamp that has FET inputs.
