I don't think you're going to find info on cars because auto manufacturers don't like people working on their boards. That would impact their lucrative repair infrastructure and it could affect warranties and safety.

As for appliances, if you have a schematic diagram, component diagram, and circuit knowledge, you could potentially repair anything that doesn't use microcontrollers, custom parts, house marked parts, etc. But appliance repair people seldom troubleshoot to the component level. They isolate to a module and sell you one. Often times, the repair will be a significant portion of a new purchase and many people would opt to buy a replacement appliance.

For electronic gadgets like laptops, cellphones, etc. The ability to guarantee your work depends on your ability to exercise 100% of the circuitry after attempting a repair. Again, this is something that manufacturers won't provide to third party repair people because it would impact their lucrative infrastructure.

Nine times out of ten it isn't cost-effective or practical to repair modern tech stuff. Even if you could identify a faulty component the chance of getting hold of a suitable replacement could be negligible, or the price could be extortionate, if it's a custom part. The tenth time you could strike lucky and find that a new generic part gets things working.
One major difficulty is the lack of information provided by the manufacturer to the end user. Without a schematic, for example, you're often shooting in the dark. Most modern stuff isn't designed to be repaired.

No there isn't any such training, you will have to learn component level repairing on various PCs like TV, radio, hifi , laptops etc from YouTube or repair magazines , then you just have to know what each component does , that's the best way to learn..

Performing repairs at the board level has become next to impossible. Repairs are performed by replacing the entire board.
In general, electronics repair at the component level (or almost any level) has rapidly become a lost art.

Magazine publishing is another industry that is being subjected to enormous economic stress. The cost of production and distribution is large and advertising dollars are migrating to more productive platforms. This squeeze is simply eliminating magazines that used to serve a good sized audience. The internet has killed not only magazines but newspapers as well.
