I am building my son a train table and want to add sounds to it, is there a chip out there that can achieve this? Does anyone have any schematics?

Thanks,
Anthony

There are lots of hits for "model train sounds" on Google. It is quite common to add them. When I lived in PA, I used to stop at Bowser. He bought the Varney molds and made replicas. He has a great shop and model display. He (if he is still alive) was extremely knowledgeable, not like your typical hobby and crafts store. You may want to call him at: http://www.bowser-trains.com/index.htm

This prebuilt module can store up to 250 sounds, you load any sounds you like from wave files into th emodule and play each sound with a simple serial command;

it can also control 8 RC servos so you can control track switching etc all direct by serial interface (like from a PC).
