Timer

Hello Gents!

I am looking for a 12V circuit that would close a relay, hold for around .5 sec, open for around .5 sec and then repeat three more times or so. I am not sure what this is even called. I would like to be able to adjust the close, open and repeat times probably by changing resistance... I saw CanaKits have a few timers but they do not describe them very well.

Thank you for looking.

This could be done with two 555 timers, an oscillator controlled by a timer. What kind of trigger would it have to start the cycle, and how much current (and what is it going to power) does the relay have to carry?

Hi Bill Thank you!

Trigger would be the closing of a NO SPST switch. Carry around 5V, 50mA. It would activate a keyboard emmulator to send a keystroke to the computer.
