Hi all

I would like to make a control relay switch on and off 3 times, once per second, then wait until the circuit is reset before doing the same again.

I have basic electronics skills but not messed with timers etc before

So bacially when energised the circuit should wait 1 second then energise the relay 3 times in 3 seconds then stop untill the circuit is reset by re-powering the circuit.

Any ideas if or how this could be done please?

I can measure the relay resistance if required.

Simple seqeuncing like that is often done here on the forum using a 555 timer IC (as an oscillator) and a 4017 IC (as a simple sequencer). You could serach the forum for "555 and 4017" or "4017 sequencer".

I think using a variation on that theme you could make 3 pulses for 3 seconds then stop.
