TI cc2510 external interrupt problem

I have a problem in setting general purpose I/O pins to be used to generate interrupts. By data sheet the interrupts can be configured to trigger on either a rising or falling edge of the external signal. The problem is that it triggers on both edges although i configured it to trigger on falling edge of the external signal. The same thing happens when setting it to trigger on rising edge. Anybody with a same problem?
