Posted this to anothe forum and got some half decent suggestions however I'm wanting opinions as to thether this would wok.
I've got a 5V logi IC open collector, output active low and I'm trying to control a 21V unregulated voltage such that it will control a 12V incandescent lamp drawing up to 2 Amps.
Control control signal is open collector, lightly pulled up to 5V and it's only capable of sinking 2.5 mA thus I'll need an inverting amp with a minimum gain of 800.
5V is regulated to +-2%, +12V can vary from +11.6V all the way up to +15.5V max as it comes of a simple alternator/battery supply. I prefer to switch the = supply wire to simplify hookup.
Think this will work?
