Ken Fienberg, the twin towers executor had to put
the price on different peoples life, based on dollar value.
Then made money on a book about It.

Then moved to the oil spill, playing god.

He is an attorney, how do you calculate damages? Shoot the guy how owned the buildings? The CEO of British Petroleum?

The courts don't deal in religious concepts, but in real concrete numbers.

This is about calculating damage done and trying to make it as right as possible, not buying and selling people.

Yes.. That is true.

I have been a juror a few times, and one of the "relevant" cases was a girl who was involved in a rear-collision car accident.

When we were adjourned to make a decision, the judge gave us some numbers based on race, sex, and a few other things.

A white female usually works until 66 years of age, and makes an average of 100 dollars a day..blah blah blah.

That is how we were to calculate an award for her, IF we though she deserved an award.

She didnt.

The car that hit her was doing about 5 mph, and HER car was drifting at the time.

There was NO OBVIOUS DAMAGE to the vehicle, except for some black plastic from the mans license plate holder on her back bumper.

The repair required was "A quick buff and car wash" total $33.

However he DID hit her, so we did require his insurance to pay for her doctors bills.

Moral(s):
Watch what you are doing when driving, AND dont try to do SCAM lawsuits.

One Jury, Two Lessons Learned. ;)

It's PAYDAY

until you're caught.

Of course, after a short stint in a Criminal Univeristy, they come out knowing lots more tricks.
