Well, okay, a little more than "half", but you get my point

 

All decorations should be down by Valentine's day, no matter how lazy you are.

Unless you have one of the 512 channel music synchronized sets, then most of it can be permanent, just not powered.

Mom usually takes care of decorations a couple weeks into january, and we live in the middle of nowhere so the outside lights are kinda pointless.

that's a little extreme, we usually take the tree down about a week into the year, and the rest of the Christmas decorations down a couple weeks later

 

I usually get my tree about a week before Christmas and leave it up until my birthday. By then it's starting to lose its needles, so the timing works out well.

 

And it's gone.
