Thanks to vead I've started learning Verilog which I never had a reason to do before now. I find it interesting and also discovered the open cores website where vead posted an example. I've used the 8051 in lots of projects and it is interesting to see how one might be constructed.

I hear that FPGAs still have a long way to go.
I hope I never find myself in that particular way. Thankfully today's electronics are an open buffet where everyone can savor their favourite tastes!

Congratulations for an old dog learning new tricks!!!:)

BTW, albeit I tend to avoid making comments about people posting here, I would say that vead (from whom I initially thought was just another "serial questions boy") shows genuine interest and persistence. Surely he will achieve his goal in the end.
