I am trying to find a way avoid using relays to switch two inputs. I currently using a 4dpt relay to swich them. Here is my setup
input one has 4 signals
input two has 4 signals
output to 4 signals

voltage shoud be 5v or 12v

I am thinking of using analog switch ICs but dosn't know which one to use and how to make up a simple circuit. any helps will be appreicated.

Hello,

Did you already look at the 4066.
There are 4 switches inside.
Using 2 of them you can make your circuit.

If your current need is within 10 - 20 mA, then a CD4067 could solve your problem.

You can see the CD4067 as a 16 ways switch.

If you need more help, then post a schematic of what you have in mind to do.

I am trying to use it to switch two different circuits, both has 4 signals.
- circuit one is an RGBS type video signal
- circuit two is an 4-wire touch screen signal

See attached pic. I have two of these relay circuit to switch them now but I believe an analog swtich will do a better job and bring down the "size" too. I do not know much about ICs. but if I can have a diagram drawing, I know how to assemble them together. Would the CD4067 able to do the job for two separate circuits? or I have to use 2 CD4067 since they are 2 separate circuits?

Looks like a good choice..could you check out my old relay circuit diagram on the next post to see if it's feasible to use 4066? Thanks for your help.
