Hi all,,,
I have a query regarding analog blocks in recent PSoC MCUs,If you observe the architecture of PSoC-1,most of the analog blocks are realized by switched capacitors,of course they do have lot of advantages, they can replace resistors etc,,,but when it comes to PSoC-3,PSoC-5,you could observe dedicated blocks for DAC,ADC,very less portion of analog blocks are of SC configuration,If SCs offer tremendous advantages, what is the reason behind this change?
Could anyone point out the disadvantages that led to this migration from switched capacitor technology?
Apart form DC-DC converters, what are the other areas of applications where SCs are being used today?
Thanks in advance..
