I have a variable speed, reversible,120 volt portable drill
with a bad switch. Replacement switches are no longer
available. I would like to install a toggle switch just to be
able to use the drill, not concerned about variable speed.
Can someone tell me how to connect the wires from the
drill to the switch and the power cord. The drill has four
wires; black, white, red and yellow.

Any help is much appreciated,

A picture would help. I don't think wire colors are standardized on these things.
