hello guys! i just want to ask if a 1/4 mono jack with shorted hot and ground contacts would do damage to my piano? i just wanted my sustain to be on all the time. my piano is a Casio CTK-2100.

 

That's how the electronic sustain pedals work.

The volume control pedals have a potentiometer in them, and the jack is a tip-ring-ground; like a stereo plug.
