This is my Sunrise Systems NXTP-7x962M LED sign as seen on transit authority buses and such. I bought this on eBay so I can try experimenting on things like making it say things like "Merry Christmas" or whatever I wanna type in.

This is the terminal panel for it.
I need to know what kind of controller/software and cables I could use with this. Any suggestions, tech wizards?

 

Besides through the computer and the Arduino, is it possible to hook up a replacement keyboard to the Arduino to operate the LED sign?

 

I am pleased to announce that I got the LED display working!
Look at this.

The wooden thing is the wall mount so it can hang on the wall.
There's an RS232 shifter cable and a 12v AC Adapter connected to the 12/24v and Ground.

What software did you find to work with the display? I have been looking for something to work with a sunrise systems display I have at work that a customer decided to not repair.
