Hi,

Here's the article and the main topic of this thread:
Scientists just created the strongest magnetic force in the universe (msn.com)

That's interesting in itself, but yet another example of why web-based math rendering software is to be avoided (?).
If you read down the page, you'll see something like this:
"They created a magnetic field of 1018 gauss". (That's paraphrased)
Gee, isn't that special. They created a field that is present in virtually every transformer used in the world. Ureka!
It's obvious I think that the correct text should have been "10^18" gauss.
