how would you do this in general? (there is no offset null on this op amp if thats what you're after)

 

I've had a look at the voltages ad different parts of the circuit, see attached (all referenced to the point ive marked as 0V) and the antennas themselves have different voltages, very confusing

 

p.s. removing the antennas completely has no effect on the circuit's offset

 

I've changed from measuring the static on a comb to that on some plastic with much higher static (what i actually want to measure), managed to kill the op amp(s) with a static discharge to the antenna, while this is bad the replacement op amps give a much lower offset. Any idea of how i can protect the op amp from moderate static discharges?

 

Some simple zeners might help, back to back, on each antenna.
