# state feedback (finding poles)

I have a problem with finding poles to this problem, don´t know how to continue, I understand that I have to use the formula some how? can any one help please!

If you want the poles of the transfer function G(s) that's quite straightforward.

The poles are simply the roots of the equation

$2s^2+3s+1=0$

i.e. where the denominator of G(s) is equated to zero.

Oh, iam sorry I forget to give some information, this system is going to be regulated with feedback and its not supposed to be any residual error on step shaped setpoint change. In this task they specifically wants me to use this formula to find the poles but I just dont know how?

You'd be looking at something like PI control as shown in the attachments.

Work out the closed loop transfer function and deduce the poles from same.
