We have 5 fans in an exhaust system. We need starting capacitors for a couple. I've pictured the motor plate. Ideas?

 

Normally a local winding shop etc would have them, do NOT buy made in China, unless you want to continually replace them, ensure they are AC motor starting grade.
For 2μf you can get CDE made in N.A. that are paper/oil filled

Yes, although at 2μf he would normally get a run cap as the value is so low it would be most unlikely to be a bi-polar electrolytic type anyway.
But yes, it should have read Run Cap.

Step up to some 600+ VAC 2 uF PFC (Power Factor Correction)/lighting ballast capacitors. You'll never kill one of those on your motor.

 

I have never lost a CDE one so far on replacing one on the typical short lived Chinese versions.
Probably used them for >30 yrs now.
