OP: Any standard text like B P Lathi deals with SSB generation.
Ideally SSB is generated by passing a DSBSC signal through an ideal filter(low pass for LSB and high pass for USB).

So simply you can design a circuit that generates DSBSC and a filter circuit(either LPF or HPF) and cascade the two blocks to get SSB. Since ideal LPF and HPF are not physically realisable your message should not have any components around DC(zero frequency).
