Hey guys,

Question about SPICE. If I connect a voltage source (sine wave) to an inductor, why does SPICE complain? why does it need a resistor? Is it cause it treats the inductor as a short circuit? but then i'm doing an AC analysis.

Thanks

LTspice will do AC analysis with an inductor with zero series resistance. LTspice inductors default to 1mΩ series resistance, but I set Rs=0 and got AC current that was consistent with Rs=0.
