Hi Everybody, Need advice and suggestions. My Sony TA-N90ES enters protection mode if I increase the volume. But at low listening levels it has no problems. Your suggestions as to what may be wrong is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and a very merry Xmas. Nazim

Are you a Maldivian?
about the Amp.
The protection could kick on due two reasons.
1. A fault in the amp.
2. You have too many speakers connected. This results in loading the amp beyond it's capacity. The increase in volume will over drive the amp and the protection will kick in.
Remedy
Only for the second problem
Check the speakers for fault.
Disconnect all speakers and increase volume. If the protection kicks in. U have an amp fault.
If not, connect one speaker and check at high volume. If it stays on, then check each speaker one by one. If all are OK.
Then connect One pair at a time.
Post back the results.
